Harvey Rural Community has been made aware of a fraudulent email claiming to contain a secure document from the municipality and Mayor Richard Corey.
The email may appear to come from “Harvey Rural Community,” but it is sent from mailing@houstonhotshop.com and includes an attached .HTM file.
Please do not open the attachment, click any links, reply, or provide personal information. Delete the message and report it as phishing through your email provider.
Official municipal emails will come from a Harvey Rural Community email address. If you are unsure whether a message is legitimate, contact the municipal office directly before opening attachments or following links.
