Pursuant to section 15(4) of the Local Governance Act, SNB 2017, c. 18, Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of Harvey Rural Community intends to enact By-Law #2025-04, “Elected Officials Code of Conduct By-law”
The proposed By-Law Amendments serve to:
The proposed by-law will apply to all Members of Council and is designed to set clear standards for the conduct of elected officials in their roles and responsibilities. Members’ conduct is governed not only by municipal by-laws and policies but also by applicable provincial and federal legislation.

Any person may obtain a copy of the proposed by-law at the Harvey Rural Community Office, from 9:00 to 4:00 Monday to Friday. Harvey Rural Community Council will give consideration to the third reading of the proposed By-law at the June 9, 2025, regular meeting of Council commencing at 7:00 p.m. at HMCC Council Boardroom.
