Knox Presbyterian Church
History: Dedicated in 1927 after the union of Presbyterian churches in Harvey, Knox has roots dating back to the first Presbyterian congregation organized in 1840. The church also runs a Sunday school with a nursery for young children.
Affiliated with Acton Presbyterian – summer services run from June 4th until after Labor Day at 9:30am

St. Andrews United Church
History: Built on the site of the original Presbyterian church, St. Andrews has served the community since 1897 and became part of the United Church of Canada in 1925.

Seventh Day Adventist Church
History: The Adventist faith began in Harvey in 1911. Services were initially held in homes, later at Magundy School House, and the current church was built in 1951. Sabbath School is held before regular services, and a summer Bible School is available for children.

United Pentecostal Church
History: Began in the 1940s with home services. The present church was dedicated in 1953, with a larger building added in 1976. The Tabernacle on Harvey Lake was built in 1952.

Acton Presbyterian Church of Canada
History: Dedicated in 1868, the church moved to its current location during the 1925 union of churches. Services are held only on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of July and August.

Brockway Union Church
History: Dedicated in 1890, Brockway Union Church served multiple denominations. Regular services are held, with Sunday Service at 1:00 p.m., and bi-weekly Bible study and prayer meetings in fall and spring.

St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church
Located in Newmarket, the church has existed since 1883 and has undergone multiple reconstructions due to storms.

St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church
History: Built between 1878–1888 near Lake George. Sunday school and catechism classes for grades 1–8 are held at the Newmarket Recreation Centre.
Lake George United Church
History: Founded in 1854 by the Free Presbyterian denomination. Services are held three times a month, with Sunday school adjourned during the summer months. Vacation Bible School is held for one week at a time.
Mission of the Immaculate Conception
History: The first church was built in 1861 in Cork but destroyed by the Saxby Gale in 1869. A sturdier church was built, then replaced in 1902, and reconstructed again in 1947 after a lightning strike destroyed the 1943 building.
The Meeting Place
History: Built around 1930, The Meeting Place continues the legacy of Plymouth Brethren in Brockway and Tweedside, who previously gathered in a small schoolhouse. Members refer to themselves as “Christians gathered to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
