🌊 ATTENTION WATER LOVERS! 🌊
Let’s protect the lakes, rivers, and streams we love.
By following three simple steps, you can help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species and keep our waterbodies healthy and thriving.
💦CLEAN 💦
Remove any plant material, mud, and other debris. Check the trailer, including axles and wheel areas, in and around the boat itself: anchor, props and jet engines, ropes, boat bumpers, and paddles. Clean all parts and equipment that have come in contact with water using hot water and high pressure when available.
💧DRAIN💧
Drain and empty water from every space and item that can hold water. Follow factory guidelines for eliminating water from engines and always drain the bilges of the boat by removing the drain plug.
☀️DRY☀️
Dry puddles or areas where water has accumulated with a towel. Allow everything to completely dry before launching into new waters: five days in warm, dry weather and up to 30 days in cool, moist weather. Carefully inspect for invasive organisms before entering a new water body.
🛶 Let’s keep our waters clean and life beneath the surface thriving—one clean boat at a time.
